Indeed, It Is A Good Day!

You know you are having an awesome Friday when you have only had to spot shot he carpet TWICE:
1. for the grape popsicle stain pooling on the carpet- still pretty fresh
2. for the rotten strawberry I found under the couch-not so pleasant

It is a dang blizzard outside so to make the most of it we rented free redbox movies, baked some yummy treats, have played candy land 1089 times, had some delicious mint hot chocolate, gave the boys haircuts, put together the same three puzzles 642 times (these my friends, might just end up out the window or some lucky winner will get them for FREE), and everybody took a nap- ahhhhh.

I feel a little confession coming on: I have found a new love. Don't worry Justin, it will only make us grow closer and our love grow stronger as I stretch your buck as far as it will go. That's right, I'm seriously addicted to the lovely world of couponing! Sigh.... It's actually a rush, to me anyways.

A Pirate Party For the 4 Year Old!

Mammy and Cindi made this treasure cake for the birthday boy:

Jeni came over to help Nathan find the treasure using all the clues! What was in the treasure chest you ask? Kazoos and candy of course! Toot toot yum yum!

This picture of Brandon cracks me up! Nathan considers Brandon and Cody to be HIS best friends and insisted they come over!

The Visit From the Leprechauns!

I asked Nathan what he thought a leprechaun looked like and he ran to get his green jacket and
posed like this:
The leprechauns were busy this year! The kids woke up to see they had filled their shoes with yummy treats and found things they had turned green all over the house! Their favorite was all the green milk! We had green breakfast and carried out the "green" theme clear until the night where they found green M&M's under their pillows! Those guys were pretty silly!

The Many Resting Positions of Nathan!

Seriously, he can sleep anywhere, anytime and with anything going on around him! We are constantly laughing and running for the camera to catch his moments of sleepiness!

It's Fixed!

Yea! We finally got our cord in the mail so that we could use our computer again! I have so many things I need to update! Spring is right around the corner! Life is GOOD! Nathan had nachos for breakfast and Kendall has discovered the true beauty of mascara! Not to mention the sea of HUNDREDS of goldfish swimming in my living room, ground into the fibers of my carpet all while I'm blowing dry my hair. Like I said, life is good!

Nice Weather!

We love to get in the car and go off on a road trip especially when it's beautiful weather! We got to spend some time with Justin's brothers and stay with Joel and Lisa.

We received the royal treatment. I'm not sure that too many people would give their own bed up so that we could be comfortable- but they did. We had fresh squeezed juice everyday, yummy food, played games, took a tour of the studio where Joel worked and went on a beautiful walk.

Grand Junction reminds me a lot of where I grew up and being surrounded by mesas really makes me nostalgic.

On our walk, we all went along on the very same path. By the end, Claire and Hannah's shoes were perfectly "girly", by that I mean not an ounce of dirt to be found on them. I look over and Nathan had managed to find every muddy and dirty cranny of the whole journey. His shoes were caked with mud. It gave us a good laugh and reinforced that he is all boy!

Party Like A Two Year Old!

I'm so glad Cole had a birthday in the middle of winter! It was such a nice excuse to get down to Grand Junction and visit! Lisa went all out for all the cousins and put together a cute "Thomas" party for Cole.

It was some fun memories for Nathan and Kendall. Here were the party favorites:

decorating sugar cookies
coloring Thomas pictures
making trains out of play dough
eating lots of birthday cake
putting together goodie bags
getting a Cole favorite song, CD
tracing their bodies with sidewalk chalk
laughing and being silly
getting scarfs and transforming it into a Lamanite headband
eating pizza until we popped

A Visit From Eagle!

These two cuties got to come and hang out for a morning. I just love when I can get my hands on some "girl hair!" Tasha let me have at it! They played and laughed- it was music to my ears.

Nathan still pretends to be a Lamanite and insists on wearing his headband so that he can protect his sheep.
