We were able to have Justin's brother and his cute family come and stay with us for Christmas! The boys were filled with excitement as they anticipated Christmas morning.

A very exciting mile stone occurred as we watched Nathan preform in his first ever Christmas program. He got to be the Innkeeper. Let me tell you. It was not easy to talk him into wearing his costume until he finally decided all by himself, "Okay, I will wear the Innkeeper sweater." Two minutes before going onstage. Whew!
They all sang a mean rendition of Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, recited a few poems, had a very exciting visit from Sana Clause, and had punch and cookies.

Yup. Justin found the tallest ponderosa that would clear our 14 ft ceilings. Okay, so it's not your average looking Christmas tree and I was a little leary but when he hoisted that thing up and anchored it down with a wire, I don't think we have ever laughed that hard!
And now, it just might be a new Hillan family tradition. We love the scraggly, yummy pine smelling, dripping sap all over the carpet, ginormous, Christmas tree.
Ten Years ago to the day, the Cardon family was sealed in the Denver temple for time and all eternity. This picture is not the Denver temple, however we received a tender mercy and experienced it at the Mesa temple. Our entire family was able to be together and celebrate. We went to the lighting ceremony by accident and found ourselves in the midst of magical lights, music from angles, and the spirit that is emmulated on the temple grounds. Not to mention Brook White did the honors and flipped the switch. We watched Luke 2, the Nativity story, at the visitors center and wish we could start the Christmas season off like this every year!

Ringing the equipment was a favorite game among the older guys. In fact it got quite competitive and produced a great workout!

We just received a call from the specialist last night, and the test we have been waiting on for weeks finally came in. I did a radioactive iodine scan and if the nodule absorbed any of iodine then it means that it is benign. Well... it absorbed the iodine! Almost all of it in fact. BENIGN! My thyroid is out of whack and borderline overactive but I'm working with another Doctor (homeopathic) to see if he can get things straightened out and shrink the nodules. They are still concerned about the size because one of the nodules is two and a half inches long.
Justin is a trooper! He always makes Halloween fun and just goes for it! Sometimes his eyes were scary and I had to tell him to close them! 
Yes, Kendall is a mouse! He was super juicy and barely had any cheeks left cuz we all kept kissing them! We can't get enough of him!
I love the ripe old age of three! This is the first year that Nathan actually knows what's going on and it's been a blast! We turned this pumpkin into a jack o lantern and it wasn't easy. He wasn't exactly he roundest guy in the patch! We roasted the seeds,turned out the lights, and told spooky stories!
It cracks me up that Nathan is the only boy in his preschool! He comes home and tells me that the fairy songs are for girls and boys get to sing about lions!
I'm becoming my mom...and believe it or not..I like it! Her least favorite holiday (you would never know it because she always made it so FUN) has always been Halloween and it's because of her STRONG dislike of sugar overindulgence. She has been known to throw away handfuls of precious candy while the kiddies were off to bed.
The days of our little stink bug getting around...are long gone! Kendall is a bit of a late bloomer as he decided this last week to trade in his turbo crawl for a nice wobbly walk! He never once crawled on his knees. He preferred getting some exercise to try to elongate his legs and accentuate his hips.
This kid cracks me up! He will eat a tomato like an apple, dig up carrots and radishes eat them on the spot, and he chows down on raw cucumbers. After eating 4 cucumbers we thought for sure he would have a belly ache. It turns out he was ready for some raspberries in the raspberry patch!
