Nathan's Day

Nathan woke up to green streamers covering his doorway and dining room. His gifts were all wrapped up in green sitting by his "birthday cereal", Trix.

We opened up presents and sent dad off to work. It was time to bake and decorate funfetti, pirate cupcakes.

We meet cousins at the park, spent the day there and came home just in time for Joey to eat dinner with Nathan and Kendall, blow out candles, and go to jumpstreet.

Mammy and Papa came to watch the boys bounce off the walls and fly from the rope into the foam pit.

They burned 6,000 calories and just from watching them, we were all exhausted and so excited for that fun day to end.

In honor of Nathan turning SEVEN, here are 7 things I love about him:

1. His priorities for his age are really amazing. I love what he puts first.
2. He has the most hilarious personality! I seriously can't wait for his teenage years!
3. He loves his family with all his heart. You feel extra important after spending time with him. I love the way he treats Kendall.
4. He is kind and sweet and constantly tries very hard.
5. He is a really good worker!
6. He is a great eater. He loves fruits and veggies and will order salads for lunch at school and when we go out to dinner.
7. He laughs about 500 times a day...I'm not even kidding!

I Secretly Want One!

Taylor and Aubrey came cruising down the path on their rip sticks. They were carving in and out of the side walk like butter. I loved everything about it. The smooth look of their legs doing a dance, back and forth and I loved the sound the wheels made. I had this urge boiling up inside me and I knew I had to try.

So, not as easy as it looked, but fun just the same. My trainer, Amy was with me every step.

I just wanted to hear the sound of the wheels once. The even tone on the sidewalk. It happened! For like 3 seconds. It was O so satisfying!

Lucky {Day}

Call me crazy but I LOVE St. Patricks Day! Maybe because green is my favorite color or perhaps I'm in love with with the idea of little leprechauns giving you wishes and filling your shoes with chocolates.

Whatever the reasons, my kids too, are all about this holiday! We have lots of fun traditions wrapped around this day in March.

Instagram Catch Up!

An Evening in March

Dad and Papa were out of town so Mammy and I decided to get some Tokyo Joes and head to the lake for a picnic dinner. It was a little chilly so watched the sunset for a few minutes, ate dinner wrapped up in blankets, and the boys wooshed down the slide 5 times. We packed up and were in the car enjoying the comforts of the heater moments later.

Spring Breakfast

A yummy french toast breakfast dusted with powdered sugar and individual syrup dipping cups is a must. Outside, they bundle up and and eat while playing "eye spy" signs of spring hoping and wishing for a warm day.

Hot Chocolate

Bubble baths and jammies with a cup of hot chocolate and mini marshmallows to follow. Life at Mammy's is good. Especially when you get to have a sleep over.

Go Grizzlies!

Nathan finished up another great season! He made lots of new friends and loved his coach. He is improving his mad 6 year old dribbling, defense, and shooting skills... resulting in a very proud dad who did not miss one practice or game.

Giggles

I am thoroughly enjoying this age of 6, right before he turns 7. We constantly have some sort of "game" going on at all times and all weapons are stowed away at the foot of the bed "just in case".

I love and appreciate the sense of humor from this boy and am quickly finding out that being super funny is one of his hidden talents. He loves to laugh and even more so, LOVES when you join him!

The other night he had a fever and in the morning woke up and said, "Whoa Mom! Did you know last night I almost had a hot flash?!"

"Hey Mom, does P.E. stand for particles official?" giggle giggle.

He is sweet and kind and loves to have fun...even when sorting the laundry into mountains and motes.
