Springtime In the Rockies!

Once again, our beautiful April showers turned into a full blown blizzard! The great thing about it now, is that it is SO green!

Boulders and Toes DON'T Mix!

Just ask Nathan!

1 rock the size of a cantaloupe- which Claire so kindly modeled. 6 doses of Motrin and Tylenol. 1 bag of ice water. 60 minutes of bawling. 60 minutes of shaking. 1 heartbroken mom. 101 Dalmatians and 2 tubs of popcorn. 1 prayer from Nathan. 324 prayers from mom. 1 panic attack from mom. A couple of sleepless nights.

Nathan has caused me to binge, breakout, have permanent crows feet, and grow a full head of silver hair. At least that is what it feels like!

Rippin' Down!

Pictures do not do justice the speed we felt on our magical cardboard sleds. At speeds close to 95 MPH- that's what it felt like, we barely came to a stop at the bottom of the hill.

With a brick wall to stop the deadly impact, we gladly thanked our guardian angels when we would glide to a stop safely before collision.





This is the hill right in back of Uncle Joel and Aunt Lisa's house. Fun times!

The Champion!

This is my sweet baby niece, Cara right after she was born 2 months early weighing 3lbs 3oz. The night she arrived was probably one of the scariest nights of my life! Time spent in NICU-2 months.

We have been DYING to go and meet her and we finally got the opportunity. She is now 4 months old and about 10 lbs now! Yea! She is a miracle!


She is PRECIOUS! We love her so much and are so grateful she is a such a little fighter. We are so excited to follow her journey and can't wait to be a part of it!


She had one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen and if you ask me, after all that poking and prodding in the hospital..she deserves it!

The proud cousins (and one happy big brother)! I think my boys assumed the role of bodyguard. They were so sweet with her and wanted to hold her constantly. We LOVE this baby girl!

It Sure Does Go By Fast , Folks!

Yikes! He is FIVE! To me, this is simply crazy! It was just yesterday that I was panicking because I didn't know tons of lullabies and nursery rhymes to tell him as I would rock him to sleep. My S-I-L came to the rescue as she found lots of fun music to learn from-fast!

We had a Batman Birthday party and I thought Nathan's favorite part was eating pizza in the bat cave -AKA Gotham City. I stood to be corrected when he told me the coolest thing he did at his party was watch some of the new songs on the Michael Jackson DVD- really loud and dance. Who knew? I could have saved a lot of time and money. (note for next year)

He has been an amazing little addition to our family and like all parents, we sure think we hit a huge jackpot with him! His personality fits in so well with ours and when he is a teenager, I just might be typing something totally different, so for now we are trying to enjoy the most amazing child in the entire world.:) Enough doting.
