Filling In...

Justin and my mom.

I have really struggled with my energy since being sick and have been out of commission. That unfortunatly includes cooking, which I'm desperately missing. They have completely taken over for me.

Justin provides yummy meals ALL the time. I walk in and he is whipping up Mickey Mouse pancakes for the boys and something with lots of protein for me. The best part, he has a smile on his face and constantly telling me that he LOVES doing it to make me feel better.

Whenever mom gets off work and on the weekends, she is feeding us like royalty with her colorful and healthy meals.

I'm afraid they will never truly know and understand my appreciation that I have for the both of them.

Light at the End of the Tunnel

January has proven to be a month of endurance for our family to get healthy.

Justin: Sinus infection treated with antibiotics. Doing much better.

Nathan: A normal Friday morning. Dropped him off at school and at 11 I was on the phone with the school nurse saying that Nath had a fever. By the time I had gotten him home, made a bed on the couch, gave him Motrin, some soup, ice water, and a fun cartoon...he could not breath.

I was in the middle of a steam treatment that was not working and Nathan asked me if he was going to die. I was scared.

Justin came home and we rushed him in. Justin was running him from the parking lot into the front doors. His oxygen levels were down and his heart was beating so fast. He had a nasty case of croup and after some steroids, more Motrin, nebulizer meds, and a blessing, was doing much better. Croup is SO scary.

Kendall: First Doctor visit- pneumonia, treated with antibiotics . Second visit- Croup, treated with steroids ans steam treatments. Third visit- split his eye open on a plastic toy at a friends house. Luckily no stitches, just glue and a butterfly bandage. Doing much better now.

Alisa: POTS relapse. Darn.

Take Advantage

I had spent LOTS of time on the couch and felt I owed it to Kendall to take a walk to the pet store and get out of the house in the 60 degree weather.

He loved it and I loved that he was so happy.

Sweets!

Nat came down for a visit and the sisterhood gathered. We had lots of fun, they put up with my fog, and we got to have ice cream with Terrianne.

A First.

I had the best "couch" Birthday I've ever had this year! The boys showered me with a relaxing massage and they had plenty of yummy smelling products from Bath and Body Works...thanks to Mammy.

Justin brought home all my favorites from PF Changs and we had a enjoyable night in reading our fortunes and resting.

Which One?

I listened quietly to the boys in the backseat trying to decide if the snow reminded them more of "powdered sugar" or "ice cream."

A Happy New Year!

Life seems to come at us in cycles. It is the very essence of hope that gets you through them. Here's to hope in 2012! {Raise your glass of sparkling apple cider!} CHEERS!

Thanks Tamera for the pics:).
