Tiny Talks

Papa and Kendall enjoying a little one on one time.
This week we took Kendall to the doctor for his 1 month checkup.
He is a little juicy doughnut weighing in at 12lbs and 23 inches long.
No wonder he always wants a snack in the middle of the night!

A Fun Weekend for Nathan!

Grandma is the activities committee leader, so Nathan went to her
Halloween party. He had a blast and apparently got plenty of sugar!

I asked Nathan: "What do you love?"
He said,"Jackets,
fresh, clean diapers,
and Kendall."

Look closer...yep, Vaseline
(this was especially bad inside his jammies)
A great hiding place at Mammy and Papa's house!
There's nothing like licking the beaters, bowl and spatula
when helping with a cake!

Bath Time!

Kendall hates to be cold! We have to warm his towel in the dryer everytime he takes a bath. Then he is a very happy camper!

Hangin' Out

I love days like today! We stayed in our jammies all morning, read books, played basketball, ate breakfast in the living room (shhh- don't tell Justin), watched Dora ,snuggled on the couch and listened to "Nathan Jokes". I LOVE my job!

Tagged...

I was tagged by Sara-
6 interesting facts about me? Okay, here we go:

  1. I am obsessed with smells. I can smell anything and everything- which can be quite annoying to others. I can sniff out a yucky rag that has been left somewhere and forgotten about, I can smell what you are about to have for dinner, I can tell if someone is trying to mask the smell of a dirty house by lighting a candle, I can smell the kind of lotion, perfume, or cologne you are wearing, I can smell when my boys need a bath, I can smell when the next door neighbor is baking brownies. The bottom line is… I like things to smell good.
  2. I am almost completely deaf in my right ear. I can only hear high pitched frequencies.
  3. I have lived in a few different places in my life, not many but a few. New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Tennessee, and Connecticut. The crazy part is… I have never been in a ward without a relative.
  4. When I lived in New Mexico and I needed extra money, I would go and donate plasma. I had the pleasure on several occasions to meet and make new friends next to me in the other donor beds.
  5. Every night when I go to sleep, I have to have two pillows covering each ear so that spiders or cockroaches do not crawl into my ears. It’s one of my biggest fears.
  6. I think the most dreadful chore in the entire world is folding laundry. I would rather scrub toilets any day of the week instead of folding laundry. Justin knows that when I do the laundry that all his clothes are folded with love.
I tag anyone who reads my blog and wants to do this.

In less than 24 HOURS!

Life seems busier than ever with two and feel like some days I’m treading water. All you mom’s with 2 or more kids- you are my hero! Nathan- our sweet two year old- has had quite the day and has kept me running! It all started out with him dumping out the pancake mix all over the floor and filling up the rice cooker to the brim. Not to mention the massive amount he ate and the rest all over his clothes. Oh, don’t worry- I got a picture of him the SECOND time he did it. I must say, he is improving because the mess was not nearly as bad as the first time. After cleaning up the mess, I went to get my vitamins and left Kendall on the couch for maybe 15 seconds- never will I do this again. When I came back, Kendall’s mouth was FULL of Cheerios. I just about died! As I was fishing them out, I then heard the toilet flush- not something I was excited to hear. I had a dripping wet diaper that had expanded 6 times its normal size in one hand and a screaming baby in the other. Later that day, Nathan had chucked 2 diapers, a phone book, and a ninja turtle off our deck. Let me remind you that we live on the third floor. At this point I could either laugh or cry... I cried. Just kidding. I talked to my mom about this "situation" and we came up with a plan. She went and got pumpkins and we hung them from our bar. If he is a “good” boy, he gets a treat in them. Wish me luck!

This is how we keep Kendall safe!

Dog-gone tired!

We had a little photo shoot with Kendall this weekend. He was a little trooper until he just pooped out! I also had a hot date with him on Saturday night. He was awake from 2am until 4am just looking all around bright eyed and bushy tailed. We actually had a great talk. Of course I did all the talking and I was half delirious but it was fun. Hopefully we can save our chats for a more pleasant hour, perhaps after dinner.

Baby Bliss

There is something about having a new baby around the house. The whole feeling is just different. The house smells like powder and baby shampoo. And if you ever need a quick snuggle fix you can get it in no time flat. For the most part it's been very relaxing - unless Kendall needs to get a good cry in before bed. These boys are definitely very squeezy. I highly recommend this!

Brothers... At Last!

It's hard to believe a week has already flown
by! It's twice the fun now! Nathan loves being a big brother- the only
thing we have to be careful of is that he doesn't smother Kendall with
kisses. Thank you so much for all the help we have got. Everyone has
been so great to us. I just have one word to say.... Grandmas! Aren't
they the best?
