Ouch!
Justin was Kendall's basketball coach for basketball this season and the last practice of the year all the parents were invited to scrimmage the kids on the team.
I was pretty sick so Nathan filled in for me. During the game Nathan fell and a little boy fell right on top of his hand. It hurt pretty bad but Nathan got up and continued to play.
After the game he and Kendall went to Aunt Pam's Strong as a Rock and then came home. He complained a little about his hand and then went to bed.
The next morning he woke up and showed me his hand. It was getting pretty colorful and had some swelling so Justin and I thought we had better take him in.
Sure enough he had broke it down along his pinky bone in his hand and had a another small fracture a little above it.
The doctor put him in a splint and a few days later he got his cast.
He choose a green cast and did great and was all smiles until the doctor had to set his bone. He was in a ton of pain and you could read it all over his face but still no tears.
After we got home the fun began. We all got to sign his cast.
He got it off six weeks later and it the x-ray showed that it had healed perfect.

Valentine Mailboxes
This year we decided to make gumball mailboxes for the school valentines parties.
They were fun to make and even more fun to fill up with mail!

Bike Tricks in February
You never know quite what the weather is going to do from one week to the next here in Litton.
We were lucky enough to enjoy some snow and a week later bask in the sun and ride bikes down our street in shorts and t-shirts.
It may be a little chilly but we will take a gorgeous day anytime!

Watching the Snow
Such a peaceful feeling in our home on snowy days. I get a batch of hot chocolate made and we just watch the snow fall in the backyard.
A soft white cottony blanket covers everything. It is quiet and beautiful. Then the boys get all their gear on and get to play in it.
Warm baths to follow, taco soup and cornbread, and a board game.
There is nothing better than being stuck inside on a snowy day... unless dad comes home for lunch, wink wink

You are Never too Old for Play Dough!
I wanted to make sure I recorded this recipe for play dough because it was so simple, smelled amazing, and was super soft. Plus the boys loved it!
2 parts corn starch
1 part conditioner (we used white rain)
That's it! Hours of fun!

Rodeo Time!
We put on our cowboy accents and met Justin's parents at the Denver Rodeo to watch some amazing bull riding.
I LOVE a good rodeo and this one did not disappoint. The boys got their snow cones and that always seems to help them cheer better- wink, wink.
Our favorite part was a group of kids that did all sorts of tricks on the horses. They rode backwards, on the side of the horse, on two at a time, and FAST!
There was a lot of energy in the arena and the cowboys held on for dear life!

Nuggets Game with Dad!
Justin was able to take the boys to a Nuggets game. I asked him to write down a few things about the night so here it is....
"One Snowy night the boys and I got tickets to go see the Nuggets play at the Pepsi Center. We decided to take the train down there because the roads were slick and it was snowing.
We all loved it!
On the way there the train ride was fun because we got to hang out play games and see the passing traffic outside.
When we got to the Pepsi Center we went in and got to go to the club level seating! Totally fun because we had our own person waiting on us. Since we never get to sit there, we decided to order a couple of things. Whats better than a sierra mist and cheesy salted pretzel to watch the game?
We watched the game and just had fun, they threw shirts and other prizes, but we were up to high to catch any of it. We also got to see the Nuggets Mascot Rocky do some really cool tricks out on the court. He did flips and dunks and all sorts of stuff.
We wrapped up the night by going by the nuggets store. We took a look around and found something really fun to buy. We ended up getting each of the boys a nuggets mini basketball! Always need another ball around the house!
On the way home we got on the train then at the interchange to go down to the mineral station we almost froze waiting fro the train, but we made it back to our car safe and sound.
Then more fun began!
On the way home it was snowing so bad that we could barely see right in front of us. I had to drive down the middle of Ken Caryl looking off to the side because it was complete white out in front of us! We were a little scared, but after some prayers and safe skilled driving on my part, hahaha, we made it home safe and sound!
Overall, it was a great adventure, total blast, and the best part was spending time with Nathan and Kendall!
Love those boys!"

Monsters Under the Bed
At first when I went to check on the boys before heading off to bed, I was a little disturbed when I found Kendall sleeping like this:
Then I began to laugh at this little boys' imagination. Not in a million years would I have been able to fall asleep with all those stuffed animals hanging out in my bed like that.
